2016!

Something about the look of 2016 just makes me warm to it. Something makes me think it's going to be a good year for me. I'm not entirely sure why, I can't quite put my finger on it, but, something just feels good. I'm not sitting here saying that I'm gonna be a new me in the New Year, but, I would like to think that I'm going to be a slightly improved or upgraded version of the person I've been over the last year. I don't think I'm a bad person, just think there are ways that I could maybe better myself.

2015 in 12 pictures.

It seems insane to think that 2016 is only a few days away. Almost impossible. I remember when I was a kid, I never used to get the hype about New Year. I just thought it was an excuse for adults to have a drink, sing that song while holding hands, and cry about being hungover the next day? Well, I spent a couple of New Years Day mornings hugging the toilet and sleeping on the bathroom floor, but that's another story.

It's all over so soon!

I can't believe it's Christmas time already - this year has gone so quick! It feels like my birthday was only yesterday, and I worked up until Christmas Eve, so I guess it feels like it's just flown by. I just want to say I hope you, and all your families had the most amazing Christmas, and I'm sure for some it will be the first without a loved one, but just believe that it will get easier - I've spent a few without my Dad now, and it does get easier, I promise.

I MADE IT!

21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21! 21!

I do not even know where to begin! How on earth have I managed to make it to 21? I can't believe it - how my poor mother hasn't killed me I do not know.

Wellllllllllllll, I do not even know where to begin, so I'll start by saying a huuuuuuuuge THANK YOU!!!! to everybody that sent me messages through all kinds of social media as well as good old cards - your words, wishes, and gifts are honestly so appreciated, and I can't thank you enough. Sorry if it took me a short while to get back to you, I was in.....

Christmas 2015.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

I'm such a big kid, it's unreal. Christmas is my favourite time of the year! November hasn't even finished yet, and I'm already watching Christmas movies, buying my presents and wrapping until my heart is content! I've finished all my Christmas shopping apart from a couple of bits that I need to get from Bluewater, and I feel so good about it all being done this early! The next week or two will be hectic and full of delivery after delivery, but that's pretty exciting too. I feel like I've treated myself when I get a delivery, even if it's not for me. That saying about living another 3-5 working days really is true for me.....

The power of words.

With a few crap things going on in my personal life at the moment, I feel like an absolute douche for admitting it, but sometimes I really do take comfort from words. Just anonymous quotes that haven't been said to me, but I've read, and thought that they really do relate to me.

My dream shopping list.

I always have dreams about winning the lottery, and I've planned out my whole life ready for when I do - anyone else?

So, seeing as I'm a shopping addict and I've got a 'Favourites' bar full of clothes, shoes, make up and bags, I thought I'd share with you a few (understatement) of the things I'm dreaming of every single day. There are a couple of items on the list that I may or may not buy when Alex takes me away next month for my 21st birthday. I have no idea where I'm going, but all I do know is that I can shop. Yay!

Autumn.

Ahhhh, I just bloody love autumn! If I'm honest, I'm not a summer person. Not in the slightest. Although I love holidays, they can be taken all year round. The leg shaving, the constant need for perfect toenails, the hair making you hot, the moans and groans of 'Oh I knew this weather was too good to be true!' when it absolutely chucks it down after 5 or 6 days of belting sunshine, the bees, the flies on your BBQ food - argh, I just hate so much about summer! That's not to say it doesn't have it's good points, like the outdoor parties, the weddings, the potential of catching a tan - if you're lucky! But for me, autumn and winter are definitely where it's at.

Sensatori Resort Egypt.

An overview of the main part of the resort - dreamy!
Over the summer, Alex and I went for a 2 week holiday in one of the most amazing hotels either of us have ever stayed in. We booked it through Thomson, and it was unreal.

The view from our balcony at 5am.
When we booked our holiday, we decided to go all out and book a jacuzzi room with our terrace overlooking the beach. Perfect choice. We also booked extra space seats, extra luggage allowance and late checkout - also very good choices for us. I still struggled getting my luggage down to 25kgs!

Can't beat a jacuzzi :)
When we arrived in Egypt, we got through customs pretty quickly and got to the hotel after a short transfer. We checked in, were given a cool refreshing drink, and were taken to our room on a little golf caddy - the chosen method of transport of the staff there. Loved it!

Our room was amazing, so beautiful, and really big. Big enough for us to live comfortably for 2 weeks. It was the first holiday that I made a real effort to unpack properly.  Our bathroom had mood lighting, speakers to listen to the TV while you were having a bath (or music while in the shower), and of course, the most amazing terrace. We were overlooked by the gym, but that was only really used in the mornings, so we never felt uncomfortable or like people were watching us.

The night we arrived, we went and had some dinner in the buffet restaurant, before going back to our room and filling up our jacuzzi. Alex didn't discover the bubbles until later on in our holiday, thank God. But either way, it was so relaxing. Sitting in the warm water, overlooking the waves of the sea, drinking cocktails and eating chocolate was just perfect.

A weekend away.

Brunel's Bridge.
Alex and I recently spent the weekend away - we took advantge of a free stay in the Marriott Hotel in Bristol. We had tried to stay there once before, but the situation was turned on its head and we ended up not being able to stay there but being put up in a penthouse suite in another hotel - I guess it probably wasn't so bad!

This time, we arrived and were treated like royalty our whole stay - a deluxe double room with double aspect windows and an amazing view of the city. We settled in, unpacked and started to flick through the travel books, relaxed in the gigantic bed, and then there was a knock at the door. I answered it, and a member of the hotel staff had sent us up a box of chocolates, 2-4-1 cocktail offers, coffee shop deals, and a postcard of the Zoo with a note - 'Enjoy your stay, and we hope you love the zoo.' Thanks, Will!

We had heard so much about this suspension bridge in Clifton; Brunel's Bridge, so we decided to go and have a little look and see what all the fuss was about.... Wow.

AWP.

I thought I'd do a whole post dedicated to my Alex, because, well, basically, he's a dream. He's been in my life for quite a little while now, and I can't imagine being without him now. Part of the furniture, so they say.

I haven't even told him I'm doing this yet, because it's just a bit of fun. I think he knows it's something I've been wanting to try for a little while though. Don't think he thought I'd ever actually go ahead with it? If you do ever read it though - Hi babe!
I always used to think people were soooooo cheesey and cringe when they were like, 'Oh I've met the love of my life, my soul mate etc etc etc.' But, now I get it. I honestly do. There is nobody in the world (that I've met, anyway), that is like my Alex. He's very tall, very gentle, very kind, loving, caring. He's thoughtful. He makes me tea, runs me nice hot baths, lights candles. He buys me food (always important), he picks up Minion merchandise, bakes cakes with me, rubs my tummy when I have bad period pain. He even sets my favourite shows to record on the Sky box when I forget. No more missing KUWTK.

GRS.

Hi!

I'm Georgie, as you probably guessed. I'm 20, but I'll be 21 on the 10th December - yay! I'm quite a normal height, probably average weight, brown eyes, brown hair, all the normal boring stuff. This is me:

I live at home with my Mum, and I have been with my boyfriend, Alex, for almost 3 years now. Wow. That seems like such a long time. It's flown by though. I'm at uni at the moment, I study in Winchester but live at home in Surrey. I study Psychology and Child Development and I love it. I'm a proper bookworm, I love normal books, my Kindle, magazines, blogs, anything. Just love reading. I love sleep, too. And food. Oh, God, that's not good. I love to make lists, I make a new to do list almost every single day. I just love that feeling of crossing off something that I've achieved. Sometimes I even start my to do list with a few things I've already done, it makes it look as though I've done more than I have. Hehe.
